Kids Wanted! The 12th Annual Kiwanis Bike Rodeo as a part of the South Kitsap Safety Fair. Children ages 4 to 12 are invited to attend and bring along their own bicycle for a free safety check. Bring your helmet for a fitting. If needed, a FREEhelmet will be fitted to your child. A fun age-appropriate bike rodeo course will be available (with some bikes available to use for those children without one). Celebrate National Train Day aboard the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad. Enjoy a scenic ride through the Cascade foothills. Founded in 1957, the Northwest Railway Museum is the largest railway museum in Washington State and welcomes over 90,000 visitors each year.   Islandwood, the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum and the Bainbridge Island Land Trust will host a presentation at IslandWood on the history and culture of the Suquamish Tribe, featuring Leonard Forsman, Tribal Chairman, with Dennis Lewarch, Tribal Historic Preservation Officer.  Using slides and old historic photos, Leonard and Dennis will summarize the archaeology and cultural history of the Suquamish People and describe the contemporary cultural resurgence and vitality of the Suquamish Tribe.

Kitsap Live Steamers is a group of scale outdoor railroad enthusiasts operating a non-profit 7 1/2 inch gauge railroad at South Kitsap Regional Park. Rides are given to park visitors on a donation basis and are handicap accessible. This facility has given the community and the Puget Sound area a unique educational and recreational opportunity that is not otherwise available nearby.

Bring your friends and experience a night filled with many fun activities. Teens are able to swim, use the hot tub, play basketball, wallyball or board and table games, plus more. Refreshments, including pizza, are served.

There's a lot of beauty to be seen in the buildings and along our trails during a Sunday afternoon site tour. Our trained docents are ready to take you around! The walk will include an opportunity to see our bog, cattail marsh, pond, beautiful forest and ravine. You will also learn about the various sustainable elements of the buildings as well as our educational programs.
