Kids Wanted! The 12th Annual Kiwanis Bike Rodeo as a part of the South Kitsap Safety Fair. Children ages 4 to 12 are invited to attend and bring along their own bicycle for a free safety check. A fun age-appropriate bike rodeo course will be available (with some bikes available to use for those children without one).   Islandwood, the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum and the Bainbridge Island Land Trust will host a presentation at IslandWood on the history and culture of the Suquamish Tribe, featuring Leonard Forsman, Tribal Chairman, with Dennis Lewarch, Tribal Historic Preservation Officer.  Using slides and old historic photos, Leonard and Dennis will summarize the archaeology and cultural history of the Suquamish People and describe the contemporary cultural resurgence and vitality of the Suquamish Tribe.

Kitsap Live Steamers is a group of scale outdoor railroad enthusiasts operating a non-profit 7 1/2 inch gauge railroad at South Kitsap Regional Park. This facility has given the community and the Puget Sound area a unique educational and recreational opportunity that is not otherwise available nearby.
