The Peninsula Flag League's (PFL) mission is to provide youth with a safe alternative to tackle football while still teaching them the fundamentals of the game. The PFL is a competitive league for boys and girls, grades K-8, who live in Kitsap County and surrounding areas. Our purpose is to bring communities together and share the experiences of the game.
The PFL was formed in January 2022. Since then, over 1,900 boys and girls have participated in the winter and summer seasons. The 2024 Summer Season kicks off in late May and runs through the last week in July. Games are played on Wednesday evenings, allowing families to get away on long weekends without having to miss the regular season and playoff games.
Registration fees for the PFL are designed to be affordable, covering the cost of team uniforms (tops and bottoms) that players keep at the end of the season. They also provide the league with funds to rent turf fields for games, game-time officials, footballs, flags, and necessary equipment. We believe in making the league accessible to all families. Discounts are provided for families registering more than one player and moms and dads who wish to coach or serve as team managers.
